Balzo S.R.L. has implemented a management system based on the recognition of gender equality, as prescribed by UNI PdR 125:2022.
“Gender equality is a fundamental right, affirmed in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), which requires the absence of obstacles to equal dignity and equal conditions between men and women in law, politics, society and work”.
With regard to gender equality, the company therefore intends to create and maintain over time the conditions in which all the people who work with us receive equal treatment, with equally easy access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, and a work environment free from discrimination based on gender, violence or harassment of any kind.
The UNI/PdR 125 Reference Practice of 2022, entitled “Guidelines on the management system for gender equality, which provides for the adoption of specific KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) relating to gender equality policies in organizations”, is a guide for a gender equality management system.
It provides for the measurement, reporting and assessment of gender-related data in organizations, with the aim of closing the gaps that currently exist, as well as embedding the new gender equality model in the DNA of organizations and producing sustainable change that lasts over time.
The standard identifies 6 distinct strategic areas:
- Culture and strategy
- Governance
- Human resources management processes
- Gender-neutral opportunities for growth within the company
- Gender pay equity
- Parenthood protection and work-life balance
The company has defined policies, procedures, practices and codes of conduct that ensure compliance with gender equality principles as provided for by UNI/PdR 125:2022.
The company has decided to submit its gender equality management system to specific verification and certification by a third-party body.
To make it easy for the entire workforce and all stakeholders to communicate observations and suggestions on matters relating to gender equality, the company has set up the email address paritadigenere@balzo.eu and a system for forwarding communications defined in the following procedure:
