Full Stack Senior Developer

Job description

At Balzo we are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join an innovative research project in the healthcare field, which uses wearable devices to monitor health and lifestyle data from a representative sample of volunteers in Sardinia.

The selected candidate will work closely with the CTO and other developers to design, develop and maintain complex, innovative web applications and platforms, with a particular focus on developing data-centric solutions for the health and longevity sector. The role involves writing clean, scalable and maintainable code, implementing innovative features and solving technical problems.

Key responsibilities

• Full stack development: take part in every phase of development, from front end to back end, including user interface design, database development and API implementation, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user experience.
• Design and architecture: work with the team to design and implement scalable, high-performance software architectures capable of handling large amounts of data, in line with the needs of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.
• Development and maintenance: write high-quality code, carry out rigorous testing and ensure the maintainability and reliability of applications, with particular attention to the security and privacy of health data.
• Data integration: implement solutions for integrating and processing data from heterogeneous sources, such as databases, wearable devices and other data sources relevant to health and well-being.
• Data visualization: develop interfaces and tools for the effective and intuitive visualization of complex data, enabling users to understand and interact with information in a meaningful way.
• Collaboration with data scientists: work closely with data scientists to implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms and AI agents within applications, translating scientific insights into concrete technology solutions.
• Problem solving: identify and solve technical problems, working with the team to find effective and innovative solutions.
• Innovation: stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in web development, with particular attention to artificial intelligence, data analysis and health technologies, contributing to the company’s technological innovation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in full stack development, with solid knowledge of front-end technologies (such as React, Angular or Vue.js) and back-end technologies (such as Go, Python or Ruby).
• In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, with experience managing large amounts of data.
• Experience using code versioning tools (such as Git) and Agile development workflows.
• Skills in cloud computing and microservice architectures.
• Problem-solving skills, critical thinking and strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience developing applications in the healthcare or longevity sector.
• Knowledge of technologies and tools for data analysis and artificial intelligence.
• Experience integrating data from wearable devices or other health data sources.
• Knowledge of data visualization frameworks and tools.
• Interest in science, health and longevity.
