Four well experienced guys, coming up with some fresh ideas

Story

Balzo arises from the enthusiasm and the determination of four guys sharing the same passion for design and development.
The idea of working together came out in 2010 when we published, under the brand of StreetSoft, a very simple app with an original concept: FableScapes. That experience made us willing to collaborate togheter on more ambitious projects and fosters the desire to starting a real indie company.
With our second project, coming soon next month, we tried to improve our specific know-how concerning game mechanics and to focus on problem solving and fun.
Patty Combat, a musical game checking the sense of rhythm, is the first game that will be properly born with Balzo‘s mark.

Our Vision

Keeping an indie approach means to us working on new ideas with passion and great attention to quality.
We seek the quality in the concept, wich has to be smart, in the mechanics, which have to be usable, in the aesthetic, which has to be carefully prepared and in the technology, which has to be stout.

Our Mission

In the future we want to enhance our know-how by making original games and game based learning applications.
We want to work on ours own projects but also to collaborate with companies and publishers that believe in game design’s potential for education and communication.
Our ambition is to became a relevant player in the indie game and serious game circuit, in national and, eventually, international environment.

Born in a mythical decade of the last century, he grew up with good 8 bit music. He has never been sleeping very much and he’s been trying to recode all reality but, when he realized that developing managerial software was not so funny, he decided to apply the gamification to his life. In bad periods he pushes the hyperspace button.

For the love of pasta he decided to dedicate himself to coding and to give up a bright career in professional soccer.

Still, he’s a bomber on the job and an engineer on the soccer field.

He’s the youngest of the team, despite the fact he doesn’t seem so.

Grown up in the Lucanian countryside, is the member of the team who wears a wig.
He deal with graphics and game design and comes from the publishing industry where he’s been working expecially in the e-learning area.
He also knows quite a lot of things about horses.

Dario works on videomaking and sound design. He’s been a metal guitarist, electronic musician and has been working on video post-production for preschoolar cartoons. And he doesn’t blush about it.
Many people believe that he’s actually a machine.

FableScapes 2 has been selected to partecipate to the Marmalade’s app program. Our developers are working to realizing the porting on the engine in C++, which will allow FableScapes’s publication on all major devices iOS and Android based. In FableScapes 2, new features will be implemented: the graphics in HD and the new space scenario. [...]
